ABOUT THE HOST
Hi, my name is Brittni I'm a mother of 2 and a step-mother of 1. I was in the Navy in my younger years and worked as a CNA (Certified Nurses Assistant) for a bit after that. At the age of 24 I became pregnant with my first child. After my first child was born I started hairstyling school while trying to survive a domestic abuse relationship.
When I was finally able to get out, I was a single mom and going to hairstyling school full time, telling myself I will never let someone have control of my life again. It was no longer just about me but my life now revolved around this tiny being who's whole world was me: Mom. My children are my entire life. After I graduated hairstyling school and I started working full time as a single parent. When my child was 2, I was lucky enough to meet the love of my life and bonus he had a child of his own. I told my husband one of us needed to go to school so we could earn more for our growing family. At the age of 27, I was working full time, started school full time, was a mother to a 3 year old and I was pregnant. I became pregnant with my second child and because of the growing family size and due to complications with my pregnancy I was forced to stop working. I was trying my best to not let life knock me down. I graduated from college with a Bachelor's Degree of Computer Science in April of 2020. Right when the pandemic hit. Because both of my children were high-risk I was needed at home. I happily put my dreams of a career on hold for the needs of my children. I worked so hard for 6 years to earn my degree while simultaneously raising children, I couldn't help but feel a little robbed by the pandemic. No graduation ceremony, no graduation party, no new job. When the pandemic finally died down a few years later, I tried to find a job for months and months and months to no avail. No one wanted to hire someone without experience in the Tech Field. Because of this I was forced to go back to do hair (which I have always loved) until a gnarly back injury forced me to leave the salon world. Now trying to balance my life between house work, being a mother and healing my body has proven to be a challenge. I work hard at home for my husband and family while my husband works hard to support us. This in turn aggravates my back injury. With the help of specialty Dr.'s and my husbands support I am doing my best to play the waiting game and heal my body.
I am obsessed with true crime and love talking anything murder. My family has pushed me to follow my passion and see where it can lead hence The Kill File was born.
Thank you for your support and I hope you enjoy the show...
